SV650 headlights as supplied to the UK use a H4 type bulb ... these are 2 bulbs in one shell ... one for dip, one for main ... so having one bulb instead of 2 makes no difference really

It doesn't.
I've got a single light now, but theres 2 H4 connectors tucked in the headlight shell in case I fancy putting some dominator lights back on. (mine aren't from the S loom, but a H4 connector is a H4 connector)

Yes, but you'll have to plan out exactly what wires need to go from the clocks to where.
As your clocks will probably have less wires than the standard ones then you have the chance of doing a very neat install. I'll tell you now though, mine's a disgrace, it just works.

sounds like I might be giving it a go then.it all sounds do-able.since we're talking about mods, what easy options do I have when it comes to fitting a bigger back wheel to the sv?presumably the bandit of gsxr will be best suited?
thanks |

excellent.thats another mod in the pipeline.]
just been looking at the sv and it seems that I would definitely have to drill the top yoke rather than replacing it, as the ignition is attached to the yoke.best crack the drill out when i start then. |

It's not attatched, it's bolted, T40 security bit or you can knock the pin out of the middle of the bolt to use a normal T40 bit on it.
The GSXR SRAD yoke has same fitment (looks like can nick the switch bit and replace the lock barrell if i need a spare switch too)
