I heard them both on Radio 2 today on the Jerremy Vine Show... ( Whilst I was stuck in the traffic jam on the A1 North between Catterick and Scotch Corner!!!)

They both sounded like nice people who very muched liked each other.
each to their own I say.
If everyone in the world were the same it would be a boring place to live.

Yeah, so what about passenger safety when travelling on the same bus as a real dog! is that somehow safer?

All the dogs I've seen on buses tend to be very well behaved hence why they can be taken on public transport. We took ours on the bus once to the vets, but we don't do it often. Nothing wrong with the way our dog behaves but the amount of people who get on and start awww-ing and "isn't he cute can we pet him" tends to annoy me. I'd have thought the fact he's a big alsatian would scare 'em off but nooo

I for one love seeing them on buses gives me something to look at, and often strike up a friendly conversation with the owner too

funnily enough, that was the first thing I thought of when I heard the story!

Given that it's a 'lifestyle choice' that isn't doing any harm to anyone, leave 'em be.
