Ah, but it doesn't win every time...I remember it only too well. And it doesn't win even now when I'm supposed to be marking/planning and I end up being sucked into the ether that is t'internet.

Make a wire frame and cover it in material or, as Mrs Blue Pete said, Fimo. It's brilliant stuff. Just don't overcook it or it'll go all sorts of funny colours!

Its gone midnight and Im making betterflies! I think there is somthing wrong with me!

hehe wish I was doing something creative - revision just don't cut it! have stayed up till 4 in the morn sketching before now, dint feel too good in the morning though and had to miss work, too much concentrating late at night! don't do it too late!

I cant do this in the day becasue im using the time my brain is functioning to do revision.

I found that it was actually really hard to get the butterfly onto the wire, so the next one I decided to build on the wire from the start.



And heres one that I built on the wire



This is the origional one now with some glitter on the wings, might do some more so I have somthing going on in the wings, but that might be extra??

I have to figure out how to get the 1st butterfly onto the wire...

looking really good

have you got a long skewer? metal one would be better I guess. is it easy to poke it throught the middle of the balls and then poke the wire in after it?

or maybe shape the wire in a sort of figure of eight shape around the ball body with a bit of glue to stabilise it a bit.... these are just things I'd try maybe on a practice one first.
