I have the same fears as you and that is after 30 + years of diving. But at the end of the day, its the only way to wear rubber in public without getting arrested.

OOOHHH and the post dive beer is a must as the compressed air that is in them diving cylinders is bone dry and one needs a pint or two just to get rid of the salt water as well.
