We had a new guy. He was great, he put us both at ease very quickly. The other person being the girl I did my training and last test with.

You were lucky to find a dealer who would actually give you test ride on a bike given that you'd just passed your test. Top points to them.

Shame you can't make the AR but have a fab time in Borneo, what type of conservation project is it you're doing?

I remember when I passed, I was up in Blackburn with my mate and we'd been doing DAS and staying in a little B&B which was alright but a bit ropey. All through DAS I'd known I was coming down with tonsillitis (I've had it loads) but the adrenaline kept me going. The moment I got back to the training centre I pretty much collapsed, felt really ill but very happy. I didn't get to go out on my own bike for a couple of days after that cos I was so ill!

First ride on your own is pretty scary but great nonetheless!

We're doing some work with orangutan sanctuaries and schools out there. I can't wait!
