When you take the carb's off don't forget to stuff something over the holes, I tend to use rubber gloves but anything should work. Then get yourself down the shops and get some brake and carb cleaner.

Just so I know I'm reading this right, you two are saying we need to take the carburetor off, clean it up and pay special attention to the jets? Then if that doesn't work it's probably the coil pack?

Also, do you think I can take it off and clean it myself with a clymer manual considering I'm the type of person who, until yesterday, doesn't know what a coil pack is?

Ha ha ha, roger that Heed. I will disassemble this weekend. I do have a few friends who are extremely mechanically inclined. Unfortunately we just graduated from our universities, got jobs all over the country and scattered like sticks in the wind. But I do have a camera, that'll be my best friend during this I think ha ha ha.

Nah, I've checked the warp reactor and even topped up the plasma in the tesla coils to no effect. It was the first thing I tried actually

At long last I got some time to myself and a mate's help. Stripped the carbs off the bike yesterday and cleaned them through. The bike is running a lot sweeter now and starts much easier. However it's still bogging down at 8000RPM running on fuel. However if I spray carb cleaner into the cars as I rev it's pulling right through to the redline. I'm going to try some 98 RON fuel and some redex as I think the fuel in the tank may be stale now. Thanks for the info guys and I'll let you know how it goes.
