db screen works really well upto about 70mph then anything above 80mph, you just hunker down a little bit and it does the trick - i was sceptical but im well impressed

Eh? How much were they quoting you? 675 are IIRC 7200 new, with deals being done under 7k - pretty much the same as the 600s. 2nd hand ones now can be had for around 5k mark

Yep - me neither. It hasn't used a drop of oil in 1000kms. Hasn't broken down (touch wood) and the quality of finish is higher than that of say Suzuki! It's interesting how much influence the British bike press have as much of the opinions kicked around biking groups are exactly the same as the journo's - even down to the subtle nuances between the 600 models! I bet half the people haven't even sat on half of them!

My advice would be to get some test rides on anything you like the look of, and make up your own mind!
