Needs to be quite cheap though unless something drastic happens, like a lottery win etc.

I'm not keen on naked bike, although would consider a streetfighter type bike, also like supermoto style bikes, but lack of budget might dictate otherwise.

Must be able to commute like my beautiful SV does - 13 miles each way, all weathers and mainly traffic.

Any ideas would be great.
The only thing seriously cheaper than an SV is a CG125.

Where did you ask for fun

Or you can get an SV for £1000

Not according to the quotes I've got when looking at a DZR400-X.

The bike is going for £995, insurance would cost me £82/year FC (that's half the cost of the SV - I'd be keeping the SV too, but that's not the point!). Fuel? Apparently up to 70mpg, whereas the SV is 45mpg.

You know im going to say a Bandit

Better commuter hack, but good for touring (comfortably) also, bigger fuel tank, slightly quicker, same brakes, but more weight.

Well the 0% DRZ deal seemed perfect, until I test drove one. I'm not too sure I could live with the DRZ day to day. It wasn't the fun machine I was hoping for although at higher revs it did make the corners of my mouth go up a bit.

Not enough power, even though as I have said I don't use all the power of the SV, I'm confused!

I was really surprised and thought the test was merely a formality, now I am in a real dilema as my baby goes on Thursday.........

Was a cheap Bandit 400 on here not long ago. Not my cup of tea but then I have no taste. Wouldn't buy a new bike on finance unless I actually wanted/needed it.
