not sure I'd want all the weight on the footpegs ( but I'd taken them off to clean anyway ) was thinking about making up something to sit inder the frame members - you need to take the sidestand switch out though.

I ended up with a trolley jack and soft wood carefully under the sump.

Don't take the rear shock assembly out is the simplest solution - but at least it's all now sparkly and clean, and all the pivot bearings are now full of heavy duty grease and all bolts liberally applied with PBC anti seize , polished and clear coated - so good job done I reckon.

Do I miss the grab rail - not really - I do slip the rear seat on for my 11 year old when he wants a blast, he just holds onto a belt round my waist.
not a five minute job to put it back on though really if I really needed it.

ive got renthals on mine, but i prefer pro taper bars, i htink they look better, that, or some renthal twin walls

yeah, thats true, so you would have to buy the mounts to suit too.
