can someone tell me.....
when doing this mod....do you need to go down to where the bottom of the throttle cables are (on the right hand side of the carbs as your sitting on the bike...PITA) and adjust there... or.... can it all be done up at the throttle end of things without the need to get tank up / box off etc.... reason I ask is i moved the carbs recently and wasnt confident that the throttle cables were fitted back correctly nor the choke and clutch and the bikes in the garage today having these things put right (as well as other things) and wouldnt wanna be fiddling near the carbs again after I get it back... Thanks |

Yes can be done on the throttle, if you need more adjustment than that then you go to the carbs.

The R6 throttle mod is all at the twist grip end, you simply replace one throttle tube for another. As long as your throttle is well set up now this is all you will need to do.
As Chris said, if any throttle adjustment is needed go to the other end. |

excellent.....
guy at the garage has called...said throttle is now spot on....suggested i get a new clutch cable tho....valve clearences fine...is balancing the carbs now...going to fowlers tomorrow to get the tube! cheers guys |

Job done. 3/4 of an hour, including removing air-box, adjusting cables at carb end, & refitting everything..... Great Mod!!!!!
