Its an old cottage. The kitchen as it is now used to be a barn/garage. The roof is about 15ft high is some places, which makes changing lights bulbs a right pain.

The house is pretty old though. A lot of the ceilings are made from horse hair.

Got a little stream running through it (the garden not the house

) which looks quite nice on christmas.

I don't put up the tree until Christmas eve and it comes down again on 12th night.
It's not a case of the 'Bah Humbugs' but family tradition. I used to have so much fun whenever we spent Christmas at my grandparents decorating the tree that evening I never once nagged to open a gift early.

OK, so no Grampy about anymore - but it's just one of those little things you find you do.
