Motosliders do not spin by hand, they fit into the frame and a washer and nut connect them to the central bar. They have nothing to spin on....

is there not a bush in the middle of the plastic bung? this is what the washer (i would have thourght) would clamp against. That way you can guarantee the bolt has the required torque in it otherwise you would be clamping the softer delrin material and you would have the wrong torque value for the bolt to ensure you get the required load to stop the bolts backing off. (waiting to stand corrected on that)

Cheers for the pic looks the same so at least i know great minds think alike

Nope all bung (sorry no technical terms today), just a washer on the inside of both for the nut to compress against and a large washer between the left bung and frame.

The ones I received have a bush (zinc plated steel, I think) that that goes right through the delrin with a flange/face on the nut side (inside the slider). You can see them if you zoom in to the photo on the SV Racing Parts ebay ad.

AndyBrad, what kind of work do you do that you have access to that stuff?

That makes sense really. You sure yours hasnt got a spacer?

Erik I work with valves for oil and gas so we have some nice bits of scrap now and again.

What do you mean by a spacer? I've done a sketch of the bush I described. One side also has a washer, the other side the bush just tightens against the frame.

thats what i would have expected. you could do it with just a through bush and 2 washers. Basically without that bush you are compressing the plastic and thus wont get the required stretch in the bolt.
