No manner of headlight is going to work in fog except if you have FLIR on the bike. But that may be pricey.
Crap lights won't do owt, good ones will just illuminate fog.

Yet another dumb question..
I have been onto to http://www.powerbulbs.com am trying to find the Nightbreaker lights but can only see fittings for cars. Does anyone know the fitting type I need for a K9? |

Rather than start a new topic it seems better to add on here as I'm in a similar position with a black K9 SV650S. I'm looking to put crash bungs, a front mudguard and rear hugger on to try and keep some of the dirt off the bike (not bothered from a style point of view). Also now considering a taller double bubble windscreen for the dual carriageway as I fancy taking the bike touring although it won't be used for commuting at all, it's purely for enjoyment.
The crash bungs seem simple enough as the R&G ones seem to be frequently recommended so I'm looking into a good price for those. After doing a lot of reading on here on the mudguard and hugger opinions seem to vary tremendously from them not being worth fitting at all and also which ones are any good. I guess the first question is what models have parts compatible for the K9? I get the impression there's not much variance between them but looking at huggers for sale I can't see a mention of anything past an 06 on the Suzuki site, does that mean K6, K7, K8 and K9 are all the same? Some sites seem to list huggers up to 07, others list 07-08 and some posts on here seem to imply there might be a small difference between K7's and the later models. The Suzuki OEM model although pricey seems to get a lot of recommendations due to Pyramid ones not always fitting that well. There's a few recommendations for Red-Fox but not much of a mention of fitting issues, I don't know if that means they are worth going for or not, they are a lot cheaper than the Suzuki ones. I'm looking for the most hassle-free hugger and prepared to pay more for it if need be, speaking of fitting how easy are huggers to fit? I've tried to find some fitting instructions online with no luck, I did see some mentioned in the FS section here that didn't look as easy as some sites were claiming as the rear wheel and other parts there needed to come off, is this normal? The mudguard seems a bit easier although I'm also wondering how easy these are to fit, do they all need drilling? Although none of these modifications affect reliability is there any likelihood of problems getting warranty work done? I realise it shouldn't but you never know these days. Any recommendations and places to buy the items from gratefully received. John |

I dobut such mods will effect the warranty at all, after all you are only messing with plastic, not any "proper" parts.
R+G are better than nothing, but motosliders are far more protective. However, motosliders don't work with lower fairings, you will need to trim them a bit.
