Faired:

Faired just because I like em more. Naked bikes just don't do it for me....

Faired, cos it looks cool (with full fairings it's very sportsbike) and for the wind protection. My last bike was naked and while a flyscreen helped it was still too windy.

faired for me too. although i kind of like the more upright seating position of the naked one.
also, can anyone tell me if this is true, but do the naked ones have a different power curve than faired ones? |

Naked. My primary concern is the comfort of myself and my pillion.
After 30 years riding I dont wimp at wind blast |

It seems to be a very mixed response here. I dont find the wind that much of a problem on my CG, and its a very flimsy lightweight bike. Im pretty sure the naked sv will be considerably more stable in the wind mainly due to added weight, much wider tires and a fly screen. I enjoy an upright position when riding, i feel its quite aggressive and the visibilty is better than what i assume a faired would be.
I think what i will do is try out both versions before making a decision, and hopefully a forum member would lend me a 33bhp naked to test. (i can probably try out a faired from someone i know) |
