I think roast diner once a week for each family should be mandatory. Granted, I don't do one every week myself as it's only the two of us and we don't always have the time, but you just can't beat a good roast!

As for others....usually here when people stay over, we have the traditional MoFo breakfast which involves me making up loads of american pancake batter, grilling loads of bacon and scrambling eggs to have it all with maple syrup poured over the pancakes. Ooooh, just thought....Drew and lily are here tonight, so we can have it tomorrow AND Sunday morning....YAY!!!

Yeah, since you're only in Northumberland, we should really make an effort to meet up for a ride. And a spot of lunch.

That's ok. We can host the chilli chillout in my garden. You only have to bring the chilli

Salmon in lime and chilli butter. It's so simple, really easy peasy.

You need a piece of salmon for each person, preferably about 160 - 170g. Fry in a tablespoon sunflower oil. Meanwhile de-seed a red chilli (it's too hot for me with the seeds but some on here will think I'm a wimp) and thinly slice it. Grate the zest of two limes and juice them. When the salmon is cooked, add a knob of butter to the pan, melt it and add the chilli, lime zest and juice, until the chilli is cooked - only a few mins. Then pour it over the salmon. We have it with basmati rice and green beans.
