Recommend me something to get rid of a mouse!

I have studied this scenario and having used my experience I now feel that I can add my input.

Firstly make sure that you do not have a black and white cat or a Bull Terrier. The mouse will always form an alliance with the Dog and use underhand tactics to cause the cat to run into said dog. The dog will then punch the cat until it is crooked and has two black eyes.

Also do not leave a frying pan lying around, it will end up with either an impression of the mouse or the cats face in the bottom due to either animal using it as a weapon.

Finally, do not use milk as bait. The mouse will fall in the milk and go a deathly shade of white. It will then approach the cat who will assume that the mouse is a spirit returned from the heavens and will start to repent. This ends with the cat shivering in fear outside and the mouse raiding your fridge and making a giant sandwich that consists of everything from your fridge, usually topped off with a Turkey leg.

Your best bet is to totally knock down your house, then when the mouse is left standing on a small column of bed rock and your house is in ruins, you can shoot the Fecker!

Chocolate is good for attracting mice but is actually poisonous to them.

Wild mice ARE a pain - I agree on a cat not being an answer - ours hasn't brought a mouse in, but he DID once bring a rat......

Try and catch and release them tho - nothing wrong with mice - we have 4 as pets

Friends had a barn owl they raised from young.
It brought them live mice etc. & dropped them on their pillow at dead of night.
They got used to it!

You need a Jack Russell.It wont kill the mice,but will persuade them that living elsewhere is far easier and better for them.

12 bore shotgun, it workes every time. not much mess left from a mouse either.
did the humane thing once, caught it let it go and a corw swept down and killed it.

Place some sort of bait on a plate.
Push some large nails and broken glass into a wooden baseball bat.
Wait by plate.
When mouse approaches plate, administer a tap to the top of mouses head with said bat.
Clean up mess with hoover/dustpan & Brush/Spatula.
find new plate and reset with bait.
Repeat as above until all mousies are ickle lickle deady bones!
Drink large crate of beer, use baseball bat to administer discipline to group of Hoodies/Chav Scum/W.I. Meeting.
