Well i suggested the Ace as a nice meeting point for all and also for a bit of brekkie.
Personaly i'd be doing 3 times the distance as i pass hendon on the way to Ace way before any of you

A bit of feedback from Day One

Saturday is always quieter than the Sunday at these things, but even so, the bike park was full, they had 500 cars as well, so at times there was a fair queue of bikes waiting to be sent to their parking space. Trade was quietish, but that was expected. There were some nice events on outside (shame I never get to see them ):

1. Mock-up crash scene with 2 cars (one on it's side) and a bike, showing how the emergency services work at an accident (although, I think a few of know that too well already). I think you get to see the firemen cutting the roof off a car, but I missed that bit.

2. Some sort of stunt helicopter flypast - from the bits of conversation I heard, the guy noisedives it towards the groud, or summat or other.

3. Stunt riders and wall of death (well, you have to have them don't you?).

4. Some sort of little racetrack that you can have a go on (couldn't see much more as I was too far away).

5. And of course, bikes for you to test ride (I think there may also have been 'mini bikesafes' as a couple of times I saw one policeman going out with a biker in tow. The test rides include Hondas, Ducatis, Aprillias...couldn't see past that van to see who else was there.

To my total astonishment (and that of other traders I spoke to) a couple of the stalls packed up and left in the afternoon. Bonkers if you ask me as you always do more trade on the Sunday, especially seeing how good the weather forecast is.

During one of me brief escapes from the stand, I spotted some more trade stands that may interest folks, so in no particular order: Infinity (the Hanger Lane guys), London Bike Guide (they are giving away free copies if you fill in a questionnaire), the custom ear plug people, those folks with the USB ID tags, a stand selling bike comms (and I think you can try them out), lots of folks selling cleaning stuff (obviously of no interest to me), those funny bean bags that mould to your a*se, RAC, IAM, London Air Ambulance, some lock stand doing security demos, the hi-vis clothing folks (as you can see, I am well up-to-speed with my brand recognition ), and loads of independents and others that I can't remember.

Hope to see plenty of you tomorrow (for those that know her Jools (JudgeJools44) from LondonBikers is my hired slave for the day, so please pop by a say hello to us.

(Oh, and I do have plenty of space to store you lids)

Jo

Well I plan to grab some food at the Ace* (probably there at around 10-10.30) then head to the show, obviously I'm not going to be walking around for to long, so if I meet up with anyone all well and good, if not have a good day, and I'll catch up another time.

* although according to the Ace website it's GSXR Sunday, so if it's packed I'm going to pass and go straight to the show

Cheers Mark.

probably the most walking I've done for a long while, but a good day that, bigger than I though it'd be, thanks to Jo for looking after the kit.

Here's few of the photo's taken.

Cheers Mark.

Good pics Mark.

Teraza and I visited in later on in the day - bumped into Bluesteel and his mates, Martianskippy and Kate, Jo and then as we were leaving the Alpinestarheros.

As I understand it, the rest of you were off playing on test-ride bikes, so as we wanted to have some lunch, we headed off as there wasn't any avaliable on site (yes we looked in the Cafe building and I stand by my comment :P)

T did however ger herself a new lid - a Schuberth C3
