I agree with that Chris but thats not quite what i said. I didnt mean that the entire engine had been re-designed although I can see that this must have been how you interpreted. Just that in its entirety it is a new engine with modifications all over the place, each one with the potential to introduce a problem that wasnt anticipated.

Hmm suppose.

Anyway. It's not a bad engine, it seems the rod spitting thing is about as common, or less common, than early curvys shredding their big-ends for no reason (due to the pumping problem).
