Look at gixer front ends on SV's, don't add much to the bikes value. But sell easily to other people for projects!

I'm in a Streetfighter club and I can tell you one thing, a streetfighter is whatever you want it to be, there's no such thing as a typical streetfighter!

The original phrase was coined for US boys who took their bikes and modified them for going very fast for the traffic light GP, it crossed the atlantic and soon people were sticking renthals on EFEs and crashed slabby GSXRs, of course the type of folk who did this would often tune the nuts off the bike at the same time!

My own GSXR fighter has only the front cradle of the frame of the original bike, but to me at any rate, my Bandit, an old ex courier bike, is every bit as much a streetfighter.

The big money brigade have arrived, but it's no big deal if you just make do with what you have, it's as much an attitude as anything!

Here's my baby!

hmmmmmmmm, now i know you have not asked for an opinion,so i expect a mod to start waving a stick, but that is one fugly looking bike (IMO)

maybe, i dont want a streetfighter after all? i want an unusual nakid curvey, but not worked out, how to go about it.

Exactly, that's the whole point, I like the way it looks, you don't, that's why it never remains stagnant

Seriously, build your bike for what you like, not for other people like, you have to ride it, no-one else!

Yeah I like that (to look at not to have myself well yes if I could have more than one bike then I would like to have and ride it and a live-in mechanically-minded partner to go with it lol) I like it when you can see all the work that has been done. You almost feel all the energy and love that has gone in it. Have you won any prizes with it?

I'm finding this very interesting as I'm thinking about doing a bit of "streetfightering" to my curvy. Thing is it's not a naked but as most have pointed out on here, I guess that doesn't matter, keep it different and standing out from the crowd.

If you're going back to tuning for performance then surely cafe racers predate that.

I would be interested to note where the term came from, but the yanks know nothing about performance, how long did they call the likes of suzuki "jap crap" despite being far superior to the h*rleys they were riding round on.

I think it's a Brit thing or a European thing, look at a proper one from over here, or a German wierd spine-destroying thing, and compare it to the yanks putting an 11 foot long swingarm on another 'busa...
