Indeed - the list as I've supplied it to the police looks like: Alice Racing KTM 576 SM - Built from KTM 540sxs. - No engine number ("Alice Racing" engraved on lower LHS engine case). This is a custom built KTM motor. - KTM SX85 seat, tank, and modified subframe (looks small for the bike). - Carbon fibre number front number board (# 755). - RAD billet front hub (red/blue anodised) with black excel rim. - Applied Racing 16mm offset upper triple. - Bike Bonz handguard mounts (inboard mount/clamp for hangdguards/handlebar). - Braking (brand) front caliper, wavy brake disks (front and rear), and orange Hel brake line. - Vortex ignition (yellow switch on LHS handlebar). - Titanium footpegs with black plastic sliders on underside. - Titanium exhaust (FMF brand but no decals) - slight crack showing in exhaust pipe as it exits the the rear of the frame. - Carbon fibre sump guard. - Michelin supermoto slicks (slight tread pattern -looks like a ladder around the circumference of the tyres) -not road legal. - Green drive chain. - Loads of titanium bolts on the bike. And that doesn't of course include all the bits that're not immediately obvious, like the carb, engine internals, reworked suspension, or any of the other minor details. I'm definitely keeping an eye on ebay etc in case they do try to part it out, but I doubt they really know what they have. I may own a prettier SM one day, but I doub't I'll ever have one as modified as this.

At leas the SV if stolen is insured, and it's now disk-locked and chained to a ~3-400lb trailer (wrapped around 2 bits of large section box steel).

Also just a thought, but might be an idea to setup a saved search in ebay for KTM parts, you'll get a daily email of new parts that appear.

I don't have power out there, but I did see a hack online where a guy incorporated a wireless remote doorbell into his alarm, using an electric garage-door sensor beam -so he was alerted every time someone came up his driveway.

The alarm Idea you mentioned works. Its similar to what my dads set up in his he has a car battery which is attached a tricle charger all up in the rafters that then has a siren and 2 switches attached. The siren for obvious reasons, 1 switch which is hidden in a mortar gap which as you apprach the garage you just push your finger into and it disables the system. and a 2nd switch which if the system is armed will disconnect and cause the ear splitting siren to go off. Works brilliant and cost him less than £30.
