How did so many people not get the DC Ten joke? Detective Constable... DC-10... and I'm not that old!?!?!

MBK, if you've ever been asked to pick up some Tartan paint from B&Q etc, and fallen for it, you really need to hang your head in shame (though I've never met anyone that's admitted to falling for that).

The favourite of mine was asking people to fetch me the glass hammer... when i worked in a factory putting double glazed windows together... could always convince the newbie to ask someone for it even if they thought you were pulling their leg straight away!

Ooo, morgue's... I've done that one too. Great fun when it's a new (young & pretty) female nurse/copper that's in there.

No, I've never been dumb enough to fall for the tartan paint..or the elbow grease! I never fell for a glass hammer or sky hooks either...

Hmm, getting someone in the police to call an airport police station, asking to talk to a plane... you don't see the funny side?

Last time we did it we stuck somebody else in first on the next tray. The "Wind up" then got in and whilst they were waiting patiently for the probationer to open the draw the other guy simply said "Cold in here isn't it". The wind up went ballistic, brilliant!

Haha! One of the guys on my shift got his DS to phone PC Wald....and gave him the phone number...of PC WORLD.

The guy answered "Hello PC World can I help you?" and the DS was like "Oh hello, my name is DS **** from Stranraer, I have a message asking me to call you...."

Shortly followed by him screaming "DICKSON YA BARSTEWARD!!!!!"
