It's a bad enough issue with some professionals, let alone nervy students trying to impress and accidentally taking the wrong tooth out/blinding me

Sorry to hear your having this trouble with your tooth.

Over the last few years i have had some major reconstructive dental work (implants ect) and i was really worried about the hygiene factor with stitches/ open gaps ect in my mouth.

The main thing my dentist advised was a mouthwash called Corsodyl - available at most pharmacys- it's great stuff (although not nice tasting) because its a strong antiseptic and disinfectant that you can use when your not able to brush you teeth as well as normal.

It might be worth a try?

It might indeed, I might get some actually, as I am a bit worried about brushing this half a tooth loose, will brush one side normal and rinse with this Corsodyl stuff, cheers Roo!

The dentist is precisely why I haven't had this sorted in the first place. And there have been some, I say some, useful replies, hopefully not just for me but others with similar issues.

MYC go stand in the naughty corner for being an attention seeking *****. How dare you ask people for alternative therapy suggestions on dealing with tooth pain.
