Let me know how you get on with the motoliner'd discs, I've got a set to sort myself.
yeh hees over on the TLZone, we all get our 6pot calipers from him

motoliner will only realy fix oem disks, well they do others but they have had bad exp with them having metal memory effect aparently

Aye you can get all sorts of stresses building up. Best bet would be to stress relieve or even fully heat treat them straight to avoid issues. But this is expensive and means splitting them from the carriers.

Yup I'm a Wakey lad born and bred! I've yet to go on a ride-out or anything as of yet . Since I passed my test 5 months ago all I've used my bike for is commuting, how bad is that?! I should really have a ride to Squires or one of the arranged ride-outs in the Pennine Massive section.

I'm a student at Leeds Met at moment so you might have seen my bike in Leeds somewhere.

BTW, cheers for all the helpful advice, you've been a big help. Now I've got a list of all the Gixxer parts I need for the conversion I'll do some pricing up. It's looking to be about £450 at the moment though so not sure if it's really worth it yet!

Remember you can sell your old parts when you've done the swap.

For the improvement it is well worth it

I think that a few people on SVrider have done the R6 conversion using standard SV forks but you will also need different spacers to make the wheel fit.

Well so far here's what I have got to buy over the next few weeks for the conversion:

GSXR SRAD 750 top & bottom yokes with stem and bearings
GSXR SRAD 750 front forks
GSXR SRAD 750 front wheel, tyre and discs
GSXR SRAD front mudguard
SRAD or TL clip on handlebars

Brake calipers (Unsure of which sort of calipers will fit??)

Anything else that I need??

A tyre I would guess unless you find a wheel with a tyre.

Oh yeah, I've found a wheel that comes with the tyre and discs. Forgot to mention that!

Where do I get these clip ons that have been mentioned earlier in the thread? From a TLR?

TLR bars would be fine, SRAD bars as well or you could if you wanted to fit some renthals instead of clip ons.

They'll fit, yes. But may drag cables on your fairing and are very low.

TLS bars are closer to stock.
