Worth finding out how much it costs. If its not too much, and if it plugs straight in without soldering/crimping/messing about, it might be the way to go.

The diode specs don't seem to have anything as simple or useful as "max forward current" written on them

Yeah - system 3 ....

I've emailed a few local stores to get a price .... but nothing so far !!

Ah, so its not just me !!!

Mine does it everytime I set/unset the alarm with the indicators switched...

How long has yours done it for ?? I'm not too fussed, but would like to fix it ..... I try and tackle everything as it comes available (always have with my bikes and cars), otherwise one day you wake up to a list as long as your arm of problems ... I was more concerned at first it was a problem waiting to happen .... and that the it might cause a problem with indicating day to day ....

Since i got the bike as far as im aware mines K3 and the alarm was fitted when the bike was new, come to think of it i only notice it happen at work and at work i usualy have left my indicator on, hmmm perhaps thats why its intermitent but im sure its done it a couple of times before without the indicators on, ill look one day, but it doesnt bother me that much, dont think it really affects any thing so for now i think ill not bother

can't see how it could be intermittent - it should either have the diodes in (sidelights won't ever flash) or it doesn't (sidelights flash with indicators when indicator/hazard switch is on)

If it is indeed intermittent, this indicates a wiring fault.

One of my dealers can let me have a couple that they've got in the shop for £2 !!!
Now thats service ........

Picking up Thursday - I'll let you know how easy/otherwise they are fitting !!!

Holdup ...... I've done quite a lot of research on this on the web now ..... and there are loads of stories of blown fuses, and fry'd alarms if its not fitted (or you set the alarm with the indicators and headlights on) ....... so I'd try to avoid it mate if poss !!!

If anyones fitted one, and got an idiots guide to where best to fit it I'd appreciate it ... I'm wondering whether sticking it on the indicator wire that comes out of the main fusebox would be a suitable place ??

Thanks all ....... I'm probably pushing my luck with time consuming silly questions !! lol.
