Whereas i on the other hand wouldn't give a hoot tbh. My family dont use the net and those close to me have a right to know all they wish to know imo. After all, once i'm gone, i'm gone and everyone is welcome to speak about me how they wish.

If anything happens to me, especially bike related, then I would want as many bikers to know as possible, so that they might in turn learn something that stops the same thing happening to them.

To clarify....this thread is NOT to discuss what has or hasn't been told about Hovis. I along with the others close to him were the ones who decided to not give details until the police confirmed what had occured. Unfortunately due to private and personal commitments I have not had the time to update people.

To be honest, I thought that the subject had been left alone and people were happy that he passed with no pain. However, this is obviously not the case.

Therefore please can this thread return to as intended - that being Lozzo requesting more info. I will post a thread re Hovis in a little while this evening.

Some of the opinoins on this thread have TRULY disgusted / enraged me.

All the WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, HOW, IF brigade.

Whilst the details of Hovis' accident were, quite rightly, kept relatively private, the details about his family, friends, life, charity work and ultimately funeral, were publicly discussed.

I think the problem with Dangerous Dave's passing is that, apart from a short note from Becks, we have been told practically nothing, despite requests and some people searching. This, it seems to me, is causing most of the issue. in the absence of information and facts, people's curiosity and imagination are filling in the gaps.

My main point which I didn't put across in the first place is why there are people actively trying to disprove that DD was in the SBS then marring it with threads of 'concern'.

Some don't want to find out what happening they just want to prove he wasn't in the SBS. What is that about???

I don't think people want the morbid or in depth details about Dave or hovis,
To be honest i don't want to know what happened to hovis as knowing he died on his bike is enough for me i didn't know hovis that well
But i can understand why some people might want to know a little more,
when some one dies who you know or have a relationship with you want to know how and why and who's fault it was.
these details help people deal with tragedies like this.
otherwise you will always be thinking in the back of your mind " What really happen "
when you want to move on.

As for DD i don't know the fella If he has died then RIP matey, maybe he did lie about being in the forces but eh ho .... that's the Internet for you .... you never know who you are talking to do you.

Hope no body thinks i have been unreasonable in my post but this opinion on the subjects.

I did my own searching about a little while before DD apparently died, because I was always a bit suss about his claims to be SBS. In simple terms, senior SBS NCOs don't brag about what unit they serve with - they are as discrete as SAS soldiers. DD wasn't SBS, I doubt he was even a Royal Marine though he might have once served in one of the armed forces.

DD was a fake, nothing more, nothing less, in other words he was full of **** - a dreamer, a fantasist, call it what you like. What's more, the man who was DD hasn't died, though the org character thankfully has. There are org members who have access to the people who can tell us who has or hasn't been KIA. No-one has died who came even close to the description of DD that was given over the years he posted here. SBS haven't lost a man anywhere in the world, The Royal Marines havent lost a man who is anything like DD could have been. it was all lies

What REALLY REALLY bugged the crap out of me, and why I started this thread, was 'Becks' announcement of his 'death' on Rememberance Sunday. I'm an ex-serviceman myself, I've known guys who've died in uniform and every year I remember them all on a special day, along with all the other men and women who've died on my behalf, so I can still speak English freely. This waste of space tried to take a piece of that for himself, without ever doing a thing to deserve it, and in that he made a mockery of the people who have given their lives.

I didn't post for me to find out anything about DD because I can handle someone being a fantasist, I posted because I was angry about what he'd done to the memory of those who've fallen - that really disgusts me.

Now you can take all your 'leave him be, RIP' posts and shove them, because I'm bloody angry that the whole org was lied to, and especially because of when that lie took place

As an aside, I'd be grateful if any talk of Hovis's accident is kept out of this thread please. I find that really quite offensive and comparing Hovis to DD is also quite insulting to the memory of a very well loved member of the org

I'm not suggesting that Dave wasn't in the SBS or indeed the armed forces in general. But, the next time I stand in front of the cenotaph on Rememberance day, listening to the last post, with a tear in my I, then I would like to be certain that I'm justified in remembering DD at that moment. And by saying that I'm not suggesting that I forget about those in the Armed Forces who don't get killed in action.
