I'm all for the idea of an oggle, but I think I must be the only one that can't see how it would fit within the U-rating.

I've read countless times on here about the definition of U-rating being something that you'd be happy for your children to view over your shoulder. I wouldn't have a naked (with bits covered & merely implied) calendar of any sort within view of my children.

At best, covering bits up would be PG perhaps?

Right so a last few things to decide on before I go ahead with planning this:

Since needing 12 people is probably do-able, however getting 12 girls and 12 boys might not happen....I suggest that we do 1 calender for both.

My idea is to do a recreation of a 1950s pin up girl picture from an original.
It can be ANY pin up girl as long as it is vintage 1950s - so doesn't have to be a famous or well known person (however this DOES mean that Dita is excluded )

And yes lads I did say 'pin up GIRL' - so here is the sting in the tail...

I will be wanting names of girls who will be prepared to submit a picture, please remember that these must be a recreation of the original and the original will feature as a small picture at the bottom half of the calender where the dates are to show how it was back then.

If we do not have enough girls to complete each month for the year then I invite guys to do the same....HOWEVER!!! Rules are rules and my rules are:

Recreate a picture of a pin up GIRL....this means that if you dont look like her in the picture, you are disqualified. You will need to dress up, apply make up and a wig if necessary!!!

The lads pictures will be a combination of skill and comedy to inject some humour. If the lads think that they dont want to do this then I would be happy to help one of them organise their own calender and we can get both printed off at the same time, but I dont think I have enough time to organise 2.

There are other questions that I need to cover with some legal bods as to copyright of originals (although the good thing was that those type of pictures were illegal in the 50s and no one wanted to lay claim to them) and also what type of pictures will suffice for calender quality.

Please post up your thoughts and let me know as we are running out of 2009!

In response, however, Grunty is quite correct, if you dont want your children seeing things that you deem inappropriate, then please feel free NOT to buy the calender!

Oh and please don't try the U rating sh*t-stirring trick to try to derail this thread as the calender will NOT feature on this site, it will be viewed by PURCHASE only with the proceeds going to Help for Heros as discussed, so I really don't think its much of an issue.
