Of course this doesn't include all men!

Gonna have to tuck my hair and b00bs away somehow then!
I don't mind being behind women at all

Only if they're a pleb, think the only two girls SV'rs I've ridden with have been better than me. Graciepants has overtaken me too (ahem cbr vs sv motorway ahem)

Thanks, my mate reckons I am riding a bit like an old........these days.

On a serious note I'm with the OP on this one. Lots of riders are put off doing their first track day because of worries over one thing or another and although you later find out that most of them were completely unfounded it sometimes takes a little organization just to create the situation where they can have their first go. I've run quite a few "first timer" track sessions now and it can be done quite simply if you get in with the right organizer who is prepared to give you your own "session" on one of their days. The only word of caution I would have is you need to be careful over what the criteria is for entering. If riders are all from the same club/group, ie: mates, they tend to look out for each other, which after all is one of the main reasons for having your own group and having riders of different abilities isn't such an issue. Likewise if they are all first timers they will generally all have the same priority. The problem can come if you take a group of riders who have no common link that is going to make them want to look out for each other, and a gender oriented group has that potential. If anything you could argue there is a motivator in there for some of the riders to actually try and prove a point which you might not have had if the "focus" of the group hadn't brought attention to their gender.
Personally I think if the OP is nervous about getting out on the track for the first time she should go to one of the "Novice only" days run by several top organizers. That way the whole day is set up around them.

Agreed with above, having just done my first TD. I was nervous, and was having second thoughts a bit even on the way over. But the cheery banter a great bunch of orgers made me relax and have fun, just get on with it.
Had i have just rocked up on my own and gone around i wouldnt of enjoyed it so much.

It was quite daunting as when i turned up there was no SV about and lots of vans/trailers. Then the org turned up.

Deffo great idea, Ill come watch and return the favor taking random pics of tarmac Zobers

looking forward to more TD meets next year.

That's a deal Rob. I really wish I had been on that trackday with you all now- I have been trying to wait until I get used to the new bike but think I was just putting it off actually doing a trackday.

I am going to look up the novice only days and maybe book myself in for an advanced cornering course too.

If I did get an all girl trackday sorted I would make sure to get pictures of all the ladies for you gents! Just don't tell them. Maybe a naked trackday instead?

Hi Zobers,
Glad you're taking the plunge so to speak, but when you do book one up give some thought to the track. Cadwell is tempting to you because it's not so far but it's quite a challenging and unforgiving track for first timers, (although quite a few on here did alright around there recently). Silverstone is nice and close but it's an awesomely fast circuit that could leave you wondering where you're going, I'd be tempted to go somewhere like Mallory which has a nice combination of bends and nothing that jumps out at you unexpectedly. Either way I hope you have a good time.
