Actually, while I am here, I have plans for the SV. I have asked before about Helibars and the like, but I have had an idea.

Can I get a Top Yoke from a Naked SV and fit it to the S model, thus giving me a way of fitting a riser bar, but keeping my ignition in the right place and a steering lock?

I imagine I would have to extend the cables and probably the wiring for the switch gear though. Has anyone here done this?

My other option is to drill the Top Yoke, but I fear that the yoke is too thin to accept bar risers safely. If drilling is a possibility, then I can talk to my good friend Wayne, who has streetfightered his ZX10 in his rather well equipped work shop.

What are your opinions here folks? Thanks in advance for you advice, love you all.

top yoke can be made strong enough to fit riser but there not strong enough without mod.
fitting a naked top yoke would be easy enough and as for the cables and everything you would need a new clutch cable, and front brake hose (only the one to the splitter), the switches should be long enough to into the back of the head lamp still.
oh and you will need a new throttle cable as well.

I know someone that has the risers pictured, that may be surplus to their requirements, not sure if forks are same diameter.

One from gSXR is fine unless you crash. Had mine fitted couple of years now. Holes only went oval when I parked bike upside down on bar.

What modification would I need to make?

Do I reinforce the top yoke with a filler block under the yoke that clamps the top yoke between two hard surfaces?
