And you've contradicted yourself, the stem you've pictured with the caliper on ot is diffetent to the stem you've pictured in the earlier post

now either i've put my stem in a plant pot and its grown overnight or i've bent the laws of physics........ i have swapped and pressed the stems from a 2000 curvy to a 98 srad with only 1 sleeve needed to fot the top yoke

oh and im dangerouse dave.... sheeeesh

Done with this thread...

Nope, it is same one. You don't have to believe me.
Only reason I am posting this is for guy that started thread. If he swaps stems he has to make sure stem is pressed in triple, and his will not.

And why would I lie when I did tons of this in last 10 years and never found one that fits. I do this all the time.
Dude, trying to help you. Like I said, I have no clue how you got it in unless UK has different stem than rest of world. If you have same stem as rest of world you did something wrong.
All I care about is if somebody is doing this to make sure stem is press fit in to triple, not just in to bearing.

They all do, all gsxr's and all sv's use same bearing and all stems have same size where bearing sits. It is part inside yoke that is different, last 20mm of stem.

I don't think I called you lier, if I did I did not mean and I am sorry.
However I believe something is wrong.
Maybe somebody else in UK has done it and will post.
With that I am out.

Maybe stretching it so much that bottom broke off expanded stem.
I hear some on oldskoolsuzuki knurl the stem so it will have an interference fit. Otherwise it moves.

Gavin how much pressure did yours need to fit in the yoke?
