What sort of road use?
Allways had a softer front on for the last 20 yrs never had a problem, same make. both tyres need changing at same time, handy as its a boring 40 ml round trip.

My question about the storm st's would be do they handle carrying weight long distance as well as the roadsmarts? I frequently ride 2up with vast ammounts of luggage and the roadsmart is the first rear thats started to wear evenly without going square!

YC's probably your man for that question, my rear storm started to square after about 5.5k and it was just me onboard (mostly) not sure how they'll compare to the roadsmarts. Avon have got some longer life and hard centered tyres in their range now but never tried em.

Dunno as I haven't used the roadsmart. The storms have stood up to a lot of 2 up stuff with lots of luggage. This one did all round scotland and back and lots more, it's square and knackered now at about 7.5k but the rear shccks been very tired for all of that and it's done a lot of motorway. Can't complain really

Scotland did it for me, was expecting at least a twitch. Had toe kissing the ground, 2-up, 9k rpm, open taps full at about 65, hanging off like an ape. You shouldn't be able to get away with that on ST tyre lol
