I live slap bang in the middle of the Royal Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire. Easy access to the Cotswolds in one direction, Wales in another and the Mendips and Devon in yet another. Two pubs within walking (ahem!) distance but no village shop. The local town, Coleford, is about a mile and a half away. Stunningly beautiful place to live in the summer, god-awful in the winter.

Loads of campsites in the local area so if anyone fancies a weekend away...

Smallish village ( approx 1300), 5 miles from Shrewsbury, 3 from Ed and Admin (John). Nice and quiet and close to the fab Welsh roads, Ironbridge, Quatt to name a few. Only downside is the roads are full of potholes and are quite often covered in animal poo and gravel.

Small quit village where nothin ever happens.
Far enough from the nearest town to be in the country but close to main roads so you can get to everywhere.
2x pubs, 1x off licence, 1x working mens club 1x RBL all within 5 minutes walk...Heaven, I love it

Average ish town. Only 5 mins away from kingston upon thames which is big and 45 from central london and about 30mins from box hill and the likes in the opposite direction.
Good thing is its quite nice and quiet with lots of big field near by but a stones throw from everything.

Right smack bang in the middle of Brum city centre for me. I like it and it has it's advantages (such as pubs and restaurants galore plus excellent transport links) but in a couple of years the wife and I will be looking to move out to a town or village somewhere a bit further south.
