It is a bit pricey but if I stack it - my insurance won't cover me and recovery won't take me home!
How much is track hire on top of bike rental? I can see this getting even more pricey ![]() |

Castle combe, with the company Cuffy linked to would be £125 for the track day, £180 for the bike hire and £250 excess if you bin the bike. This does not include fuel though, which you have to pay for on the day.

Ben, call your insurance and ask how much for one day track insurance.

Good plan - I'll also at the same time request the policy documents that they neglected to send me through the post or via email! There must be some law broken there - I'll find it.
Best enquire about recovery too - better to be safe that sorry. |

Don't crash! Simples
![]() You don't have to go out thinking your Rossi, take each session as it comes, if you start to feel tired and thinking your getting close to the edge of your limits then miss the next session. Assess how you've been riding or ask others who are in the same session with you, preferably the instructors. For your first few times out on track go at a pace you're comfortable with, as the day progresses then you can start to think about later braking into corners. Don't try and get your knee down into the 1st corner of your 1st session as you'll probably find that the rest of your body will follow. It's hard, but self constraint is of paramount importance if taking your road going bike on hte track. Last edited by cuffy; 28-06-10 at 11:42 AM. |

![]() Point taken - but I'll be so nervous on my own bike! I'll just take it steady then as £325 all in for a track day is on the expensive side. |
