For what it's worth... a place local to me that has the Yoshimura Fuel Adjuster Box for Suzuki's charge £70 inclusive of VAT and dyno time for it's use.

TBH I wouldnt want to sell you a yoshi tune as the range of adjustment wont get you the benefits that your after. But generally £60 inc Vat.

for £100 difference i would go with the proper job

it could be a good excuse to get a good long ride in some time late this year, i need to see how collage goes first and a few other things before i go spending more money.

also thinking about ignition advance (slotting) should i do this before or after, and what air filter should i invest in. also whats you advice on the air box snorkel leave it be or pull it out?

and can you adjust the rev limmiter ? mines at 13k+ atm and i want it bringing down

The best thing for the airbox is the mod we do to the race bikes but as your riding on the road id just remove the snorkel and fit some tank risers. They dont give a huge gain at all but every little helps as the SV needs as much help to breathe better as you can give it.

We have seen some very good gains when experimenting with air flow and direct feeds to the airbox..

Filter wise, have always used BMC filters but TBH the standard road filter flows just as well as the aftermarket road replacment filters such as K&N and BMC etc.

You cant adjust the rev limiter unless you get the ECU re-crystalised and then thats pretty permenant. Our race tuned SV's have their ECU's done and have a 700rpm over rev which they run quite safely. The rev counter reads about 1,000rpm high. How come you are running 13k?...or have i missed something about your bike?.

Re the advance are you on about the cam timing?.

apparently some of the K3's came out of the shop with a very high rev limiter like mine, all i know is that it will rev to 13k (not that i want it to)

and i meant the ignition advance, you can get a key but you can also just slot the pick up holes and move the sensor back giving about 2 degree ignition advance.

and i already have tank risers, so i would just pull the snorkel before getting it set up.

and will leave the filter alone then

PS dose it matter that i dont have stock clocks or that the front loom no longer has the clock connector ?

Ah you have one of those!. Yes primarily was a few of the naked K3 models. May have been on some faired ones too but all those ive seen are naked's. Not much you can do other than mark the rev counter and be careful. Steve could mark the rev counter measured from the dyno so you can see accuratly where you want to rev to and no more. TBH on fairly stock bikes they dont make much after a certain point. Only when you start adding cams etc is it worthwhile going for extra rev's.

Clocks wont be a problem.

TBH Steve has tried various degree's of ignition on 650 and 700cc motors and he runs 5 degree on the bdk genny which makes a small difference. We didnt find 2 or 4 degree made much.

ahh ok good to know, will just be more careful when revving then

would you say for a free mod 2 degree is worth it or not

PS thanks for all the help

you can get 5 degrees by making holes bigger IIRC
