But, wouldn't that be the same on any day?

I spose so, but if was on a saturday for example, would leave the option open to spend a night some where to break up either the ride up and down the A470 or the trip to and from it.

Right, to keep everyone appraised; I have been in contacted Ty Hafen and am waiting to see what they think about the whole idea. But, incase they do not take to it, can anyone else think of a charity that it would be nice to give the money to?

Well, Ty Hafan I don't think are taking me seriously, so, I think that maybe if we donate to Help For Heroes and The Bike Experience Charity that'll be a good cross section.

As for the date, well, I got to work out a few things as I am only really free on alternation weekends, but, I think if we do this on a Saturday, it would be better for most as they can ride up Friday night and have Sunday to ride back to where they need to get to

Ok that sounds reasonable. Would have to provide some notice though so that people can find places to stay if needed. Also guessing the donated amount per person also has to be decided?

Yeah, I was planning on giving enough notice, not just "next weekend."

I will PM everyone who has posted in here when I have sorted the date to see who wants to do it.

I wouldn't mind if people would look into being sponsered to do it, that way we can give that bit more to each charity. I know my boss has said he would sponser me and I am sure I could "milk" my family, ha ha

haha will have a go at milking my family for sponsor money (if i can make it of course)
Sorry, not sure if this has been confirmed/mentioned, but is the thinking to do the ride up and back in a day or stopping off saturday night at one end n heading back on the sunday?

Up and back in a day can be done, but, I was looking to see if we can do the up route on the Saturday and then everyone spend the evening having a chat and drinks before we all head out separate ways Sunday
