Like YC says...get something like an Abba stand for maintenance with the back wheel off the ground and forget the centre stand, a side stand is plenty good enough for parking up...
The Abba stands are quite pricey but well worth it, with another adapter kit they will work with any bike...center stands won't (I don't think anyway...) Last edited by kaivalagi; 26-10-10 at 06:08 PM. |

Also an abba stand in the garage does not reduce ground clearance or add weight when not in use!

a soft surface is pretty much impossible with any stand side or centre. and as you can see i said id much prefer the side stand to a centre. the extra use you could get out of a centre stand is minimal, theyre harder to use for smaller people, and as you said anytime you want to work on it a paddock stand is far better. but my point was in some situations a centre stand can be more stable i didnt mean they were in every situation ![]() |
