Tell her to install Firefox with the google toolbar as well, they will both detect and stop you getting to fake sites.

dunno if this has been suggested, havent read through the entire thread.

If you configure your router to use opendns (www.opendns.com) then one of the things you benefit from (apart from good fast reliable name resolution) is that they maintain a pretty good phishing site list. Doesnt matter then which browser or OS you use, it will get stopped at the router.

btw, opendns kindly blocked access to the URL in the original post.......and its free
