I don't think Rossi approached that corner thinking, "I'm going to pass him here".

IMO he braked later than he meant to and had to choose between either turning it in to a pass attempt or hitting Stoner.

It was a real shame for the race.

Thought it was terrible the way they all rushed to help Rossi leaving Stoner on his own. Seeing them all look over and collectively go "oh yeah, that other guy" once they'd waved Valentino on his way and then wander over was just the pits. He did not deserve that.

Nice ride by Bradders. Thought he might have had a coming together with Bradl till he dived past after another moment lol
Yeah, I have a feeling we'd have seen an even better race had they all stayed on. Proper battles and the like. Hey ho.

perhaps it was the fact that he had two bikes on top of him that prompted the attention....

But anyway,

As far as the move went, nothing wrong with it. This stuff happens, it's MotoGP racing not flower arranging.

The difference between a genius pass and binning it is jack all. Good on him for trying. To be honest, who the hell are we to question the racing judgement of a 9 times world champion?

i thought the whole thing was a giggle from start to finish.

stoner never managed to ride the ducati like that in the wet. 12th to 2nd (nearly) takes some doing, and clearly a modicum of talent.
Rossi certainly didnt mean to bin it, looking at his body language he is deff trying to ride it through the corner, doesnt appear to have tensed up because he thinks he wont make it... looks like he saw an opportunity, went for it and overestimated how much grip there was.

Stoner not being helped by the marshalls was just hysterical..

gutted for simoncelli though.

that was the most entertaining GP race i have seen for ages.

Yes, but after the bikes were taken off him, all the attention was on one person. Bit harsh that they all helped rossi then watched him drive off then realise that oh..wait...there was a 2nd bike too!

Stoner rides for Ducati and has major issues with the front tucking under him and throwing him off......

I doubt that the marshalls made a conscious decision to that effect. Stoner by this time was upright and sitting on his bike, they probably didnt even know that his engine wasnt running. Just sods law really.

... you forgot Randy de P's strop when his italian electricity got wet.

I even saw pedrosa being human/normal talking to Nicky Hayden before they went onto the podium. (BBC coverage)

That entertaining a race I watched it on Eurosport last night for big Jules' views and Joby Moody's squeals.

Simo & Colin killed me in Fantasy League tho'.

Anybody got the photo of Stonner appearing to applaud Rossi after their tangle? Cant get it on here from my phone. Hilarious.
