£530 for cambelt doing - can't afford head work as well! Windows have just arrived - turns out they need 24 hours for the sealant to go fully off so might struggle to get them both in before the weekend at this rate

thought you said it'd only take an hour to do, get em in tonight and gaffer tape em over when you set off. They'll be sound for when you arrive.

update: Managed to get 1 x side window fitted on thursday night and left overnight to set properly in time for the weekend - hurrah!

Cut hole out of side of van with drill, jigsaw and then tidy edges with angle grinder/file (super brutal thing to do to your van!)..

apply the glass glue sealant stuff and stick it to the van

then later on when it's all set take your 'holding glass in place' device off (in this case ratchet straps and chunks of polystyrene)

test the Ikea Dioder LED lights to make sure they work with the existing vehicle interior light wiring

Have a beer, go to bed, wake up and carry on - drill/cut holes for LED wiring to go through, stick LED's to roof lining, connect all wires and test again before re-fitting roof panels

Re-fitted panels with lights

Stick some carbon fibre wrap vinyl on the bonnet for stone chip protection and added chav appeal

Claim your pitch with ridiculous number of wind breakers

Set up out door kitchen area & then realise that your cooking pans are too small for intended foods

balls

That's about it for now - still got to fit the other window and finish carpetting exposed metal, as well as fit the Saab leather seats... then hopefully order the proper bed (air bed was surprisingly comfy all weekend though!) and wardrobe

Will report back with more pics later

Nice Paul, I'm still watching. Window looked fairly straight forward however, I'd like a lighter tint to it. I've seen some of those full conversions being auctioned on eBay and go for less than £1k which looks cheap considering the price of some of the furniture.

Blimey! I should have checked ebay a bit more thoroughly lol. Some people do buy cheaper ikea units and adapt them to fit their van but I'll be getting the bespoke stuff from t4life in the next month all being well

Not for the first 24 hours at the very least!

Also forgot to mention this - big american RV type thing pulled up but forgot to put his handbrake on...

It hit the electric hook up point and then got lodged in the bushes at the top of a small banking - lucky the bushes were there as there were more tents & vans down the otherside!! Nugget..

Hahaha quality pic!

Looks good Paul, you'll have to do yourself some vinyl wraps for it!
