Of course I know you mean the country as a whole, Sal!

Think its cos there is not that many of us about. Not that you would think that on the lochside on a sunny sunday.

I feel like Andy The Bastid if I fail to return a friendly wave/nod/salute/ shimmy or shoogle.

Strange indeed - wifey and I were out on Sunday with kids-a-pillion and got nods from all and sundry. Sunday riders, racer boys, the lot.

Actually, 'cos I'm still fairly new to the biking thing (only passed my test last year), I'm probably less jaded than some of you, so I still nod to just about everyone. Including learners, mostly because I could never understand why nobody acknowledged me on my 125 with L-plates. The truly worrying thing was that I found myself nodding to a bike the other day.....in the car!

I have to admit if I get no nod/wave/acknowledgement back on a calm stretch of road I mutter the words "miserable bastid" quite a lot, I swear when riding quite a bit though, usually "oh ****!" It does seem to be the weekends mostly where nodding is lost, must be all those part timers who don't know better yet....I like the notion of belonging to a like minded group who love to ride and all that jazz

I stopped nodding to Harley/Cruiser riders for a while though, I had one cheeky f**k shake he head at me in reply to a nod....I wasn't good enough for him and his overly chromed up, over weight, under performing, last century bike...

I only tend to nod to the same riders I see on the daily commute, maybe were saluting each others stupidity when we were riding the cold winter days.

Will always nod back out of politeness on other occasions, but got fed up of being churchill the nodding dog, and getting very few back.

LOL!
Believe me, after the lot of typical fecking Americans I've had to put up with for the past two weeks, that's quite a compliment.

Did the shaking cause him to lose his balance and crash, leaving a 1/4-mile wide crater?

My theory is that other riders see SVs and think "Girls Bike". And girls, like scooter and Harley riders, aren't proper bikers.
