The problem is the breed. Bengals are known for being 'dog like' in that they are very sociable and like to play with dogs, and of course they are huge. I thought about getting one after Cromarty died but realised that they can be a problem if you can't give them the correct environment. I've recently had a cat get into my house and spray in my office so I've now got to replace the carpet. My own cats don't chase him away even though they are both twice his size.

Has the Bengal had his bits chopped off? If not that might help calm him down. Failing that making her garden enclosed might be the best option. It might cost her a bit as she'll need special wire but the alternative is that the cat may just vanish one night and all the neighbours will put on innocent faces while hiding the spade.

It is a quick kill and the carnage comes later. There is always such a look of joy on the little monsters blood soaked face that I cant growl at him for it after the fact.
My GF likes birds in her garden so between the traps and the few that Jack gets it is a cat free zone.

I wouldn't put up with either this silly woman or her nuisance cat...
Sounds like the dog just being a dog...animal would be animals

That only works if it gets the op young enough, around 6 mths. After that they get the urge to mark territory and it's too late.

But...I understand that cats are cats. They are different to dogs, I will never try to compare the two, but I will compare the responsibility of owners. Of course there are bad dog owners out there too, but as a general rule, the vast majority of dog owners do not allow their dogs to be out all day, getting up to all sorts on other peoples property.

There is another Bengal owner on the other forum who has herself said that she has erected a fence that keep the cats from getting out of her garden. She cannot trust them not to terrorise other peoples pets, so she had no choice and she thinks that this owner is being extremely selfish.

I would never want to see a cat destroyed...but I also don't think people should have to keep their food away, windows and doors shut etc just because cats are allowed to roam.
Hows about you go and gallop through her garden on your 'oss. Just what horses do, innit.

Then I'll get my mate with his 10 rottweilers to come and rip 7 shades of sh*t out of something fluffy on her lawn and leave bits of blood and fur all over the place. Oh, it's just their nature...

Personally I'd nail the little c**t to the fence with a crossbow and leave it on her doorstep in a sack with a note saying not to clear it away as it just encourages them to leave more.

Are you off your tits?
If they're killing less it's because of the massive decline in our native wildlife.

The fuzzy little f***ers kill stuff for fun, not because they're hungry.

As do humans, how many species are we responsible for single handedly wiping out?

Quite a few. And introducing little felix to the neighborhood is part of the problem not the solution. It is clearly NOT an excuse for letting these miserable creatures run riot.

So then, what would you do about this mad moggie in the OP and their hilarious owner? Are you trying to tell me this sort of behaviour is OK?

In that case do you mind if I let my pitbulls rip a lamb to bits in your garden? Or come and help themselves to your cat in your kitchen?

Cats hunt for shizzles and giggles, acting purely on instinct. They don't eat their prey because of the plentiful food supply at any house with a cat flap and a bowl to help themselves to, they just do it for fun.

I have a friend with a Bengal cross cat, last week I had to go upstairs at her place to remove "whatever it is that it's caught this time, I can hear it playing with it"...sure enough I get upstairs and the cat is laying down on the stairs next to a baby mouse, well mouthed but no blood. I've also removed a blue tit and a robin in the last couple of months, each one has been brought into my friend's house to be killed there. If that one cat can hunt with such frequency with no real need to (it's very well fed and makes a point of begging and trying to take food when you're not feeding it every minute of the day) then it doesn't take a genius to realise there are many like it. However, on the scale of things, cats are not one of the main reasons behind bird population declines...http://www.rspb.org.uk/advice/garden...ddeclines.aspx

It certainly doesn't help that we as cat owners actively encourage our pets to hunt by using string and other toys to hone in on that natural instinct.

But anyway! Back to irresponsible cat owners...

If a dog was running about and behaving badly it would likely be picked up, taken to a pound and put down when nobody claimed it. Why is a cat any different? You have an antisocial cat then you should be doing your utmost to do your best for that animal by teaching it some manners. You're not going to teach it anything by letting it carry on terrorising your neighbourhood, she just doesn't want it at home to deal with herself! Stupid woman (her not you GG )
