Yeah, I disagree as well... Police Sirens are a modified sin wave, this is probably one of the hardest sounds for your brain to pinpoint the direction of origin for - that's why car drivers don't move out of the way till the last moment.

Leeds University came up with a white-noise system piloted on Ambulances in Leeds. The drivers noticed the difference on the first call they used them on. This sytem is now used in many countries around the world - but it still not found in the UK.

When I'm filtering, I'm not on an emergency call, I don't expect people to get out my way as I cruise through at a 30mph speed difference. What my exhaust does is let the driver who I'm about the filter past that I'm there, to make them think about a) not cutting me up, b) not opening their door, and c), hopefully moving over a bit

Like the others, I noticed the positive effects of the low-frequency rumble on my first commute to work. I admit you have to exercise the engine, blipping the throttle, make the bike bark along... but a definite increase in safety from my point of view!

I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed!
The baffle is fairly easy to get in & out after you've done it the first time!
A lot of people have had problems with the initial removal (it's bolted in but also glue-gunned!!). Mine wasn't too bad but if it is an issue, lots of WD40 and a pair of good mole grips should help!! It may be helpful to have a second pair of hands to stop the bike moving or falling over.
Once it's out, if you want to put it back in, it's a lot easier the more you do it!!
Got the baffle out of my Scorpion no bother! Put it back in at the weekend again no bother. Like has been said before, I am going to take it out again. Traffic "sees" you more when you give the throttle a blip (clutch pulled in of course).

Mine cost me less than the CCC road legal slip-on cost although it was used, it was in near-new condition. I've only ever heard of one place actually selling them, and they were £400 new IIRC. Cheapest full systems I've ever heard of for the SV.

I have no idea why this is... I don't think the system ever went into full production, since there's so few of them about, so maybe they've only ever reached the street as stock-clearance things. I've only ever come across one other SV with the system fitted, an SV Rider guy, and I've only ever seen one other bike with a WRP- an imported gixxer thou race bike at Knockhill. The hard bit's not affording them, it's finding them

No Renegaded SV I've ever heard sounded at all legal! Viney, Sudoxe, Rictus, Si and Coolgirl always sounded very illegal to me!
