If they're not e-marked then they are illegal day or night.

The law as it stands is an ass, and won't stop me from using an effective safety device when conditions call for it. Every time I've been stopped by the police for other things, I've had my dark visor on, and it's pretty dark... Looks black from outside. Never had it so much as mentioned. Then again, because I'm not a spanner I don't wear it in low light conditions.
Agreed, thats how I feel about it to.

Mine isnt emarked, it says for daytime use only, I know its illegal but I think the idea of riding into brightsunshine and then not being able to see is worse than being stopped by the police if that makes sense

The very best thing you can do if, like myself, you like to bend the rules a little, is know what the rules are.

Then should you get stopped, there's no protesting, pointless arguing and generally irritating the law. Know your facts re. visors, can, plates etc, ride relatively sensibly and then your little transgressions will be overlooked.

you could always fit a road legal tint visor and then insert a tinted fog city, as far as i am aware that still makes it road legal... could be wrong though..

I just have a Lazer Revolution lid.
It has an internal visor that you can slide down behind the clear visor when its bright then with a flick of the wrist up it goes again when it gets dark (oh er missus)

You've got the wrong lid, old fella.

The Caberg V2 is a newish lid and is full-face rather than flip-front but it still has the flip-down visor

I've read nice things about it; v good quality for the price.
