The most I've ever done in my life on a bike was 80 miles and that was pretty awful - not because of the distance but because GS500's aren't as comfy as you think once you've been on them a while + they are the worst aerodynamically-designed bike ever! (honestly, I've rode plenty of naked bikes and none of them feel as bad as a GS). Ironically this trip was last Sunday when I was checking out where to go for my new job.

After a bit of cred here I think, but I know it well as I've been a regular to mid Wales for mi hols since a was a 'ickle nipper.

wheres kjohannson? remember a conversation a while back when I joined the forum when he said hed done about 1500km in a day.. recall him saying he got lost in the Italian alps and had to get to Copenhagen for a fixed time for his ferry

and kwak zzr if you think this threads scary on the mileage start one about annual mileage - think rictus, randy 0 and a few others including myself will be 50k plus on the SV

and Im with trojanhorse on this. the hardest mileage I did was 140 miles to my mums and back on a courtesy scooter while they were fixing my cg...

well tomorrow i will be doing 450 miles one way, home to surrey then back again on friday. done it once before on the bike and it was not fun at all hopefully be better tomorrow as the weather is nice.

no joke i drove from amsterdam to geneve via zurich in one trip including getting lost it was 1300km in 28hours

brilliant trip

ok the nuttiest mileage Ive done over a longish weekend was:

friday kent to liverpool. saturday liverpool to manchester and back. sunday liverpool to kent. monday kent to sheffield and back to northampton and then northampton to kent after chain and sprockets were done arriving back at 6am tuesday morning

lynw my annual mileage is usually about 3k i always use the car for long trips and the bike is just a hobby thing,saying that tho i only did 5k in the car (i blame the kids)

ive done 12k this year . . . funny tho . i only expected to do about 4k tops (i got into biking more than i imagined i would you know)

ive still got 5months left till the trusty sv is 1 year old its got 2100 on the clock at mo so i think i'll break the 3k and prob touch 4k <the most ive ever done on 2 wheels
