I thought this was a well known fact

seems to have surprised a few people

anyhow its the damn diesel soot chuggers that need addresssing, thats the stuff thats clogging up your lungs and the cities.

They are if you have a progressive local council.
In sheffield a year long trial of one of our main arterial roads has shown less accidents and better traffic flow for 2 wheeled traffic.
And now the policy is to change all main arterial bus lanes into ones that allow bikes too as the signs are updated.

However, it's not all good news. The road surfaces on these bus lanes are lumpier than jordan's chest due to the weight of the busses churning up the melting tarmac in the summer. And in certain places I have to slow right down to go over these obstacle course { busty } sections. Also you have to go quite slow in rush hour due to the amount of cars and vans darting out of emerging junctions and through the traffic queue without checking for bikes coming down the bus lanes.
