What what what!? No it doesnt steve. Perhaps down sarf.. but up here in the north, in York, there is a MASSIVE parade through the city centre celebrating the day. All the forces are there, Army Air force and Navy, including the cadet forces representing the individual forces themselves. Bind that in with Boys Birgade, Girls Guide, Scouts, Cubs, Brownies etc.. theres probably about 3000 people marching through the city.

I know, as i used to be in the ATC band which does it year on year.

Based on feedback from people in the area, i can honestly say, it must just be down south that the who st georges day is forgotten, or not celebrated with Gusto. Up here, its a major celebration.

Bars don't tend to celebrate it down here, it's considered "not PC"... Don't know why, it's he is the Patron Saint of the Country....

There you go again...you radical Fascist Right-Wing recidivist reactionary lick-spittle capitalist running-dog lackeys never tire of repeating the same old lies. Where exactly is your proof that there ever were snakes?

In his book on the subject, "Worms of Mass Destruction? The Capitalist Lie", the well known writer Fionnhbarr Greenberg, establishes WITHOUT DOUBT that the Snakes lie was based upon a fabricated sighting of two or three above-average sized nematodes seen slithering across Lansdowne Road, as shown in this site: www.nematodestoglory.com. This was seized upon by the Religio-Militario-Catholic minority to establish regime change and abolition of birth-control.

This nematode-cleansing was just an excuse to establish a Vatican-supporting regime, and to ensure that when the world ran out of worms, all fishing would be done with pre-fabricated Flies sourced through the Politico-Armamento Fly-Tie-ing Industrial Global Giant Rod Network as set out in the Grauniad (passim, see www.grauniad.org.plc). It was for this that Guerrilla activists such as Bill Nudd and Midal Legge gave up their keep-nets to form Trout Resistance - the fight to use worm-bread paste to fish the Armagh Trout that inhabits Ireland Loughs and Rivers (see http://www.troutsofmassdestructionar...ithamerica.org)

And anyone who disagrees with me - particularly motorcycling squirrels or Observer journalists named Milo - is a pedantic sycophant.
Mein Gott!

You might have one this fight El Boc, but, the glove has been thrown down.
I wont be such a pushoever in the future, now I know the cut of your jib old boy.

Philip old pal, given a choice between being a smart **** and not losing at Twickers, I'd go for the latter any day.....

England were so awful I could almost take up being Irish...or even Scottish.

Well, perhaps not THAT far.....but your guys really wanted it. Full marks to them: they gave us a BIG lesson in "No Surrender" today!

(Even if they were helped by a typically blind and biased linesman who obviously lost his great-great-grandparents at Bannockburn.....)
