I have been to Bracknell a few times (I have a mate that lives there) but am Pompy way myself!! (Suppose Hampshire is quite a big county isn’t it!! ).

Well spotted. It's a left then a roundabout and then a right but they are both single lanes but next to each other and seperated buu a kerb and a grass verge. Myself lives in Farnborough (never mind eh?!). Would be good to meet up for a blast.

A good halfway point between Farnborough and Pompy is the ‘Meon Hut’ … (I presume lots of bikes still congregate there on a sunny Sunday?? I have been out of the ‘biking to be social’ game for quite a few years now so have no idea if it is still a meeting point ). Also does that meet near Hook still happen on the first Wednesday of every month??? I stopped going to that a few years ago as it became too policed and it spoilt all the fun. I used to love going there and watching people feck about!!! (back in ’99 when I used to go, there was NO police presence and hundreds of bikes!! \/ ).

The Alton Cafe happens every wednesday nights if that's the one you mean? Right by Alton train station. A pretty good meet but not many doing any tricks and no police.

THe Sv isn't the best for stunting. I was better at wheelies when I had my '92 'blade.

Er it is (was) actually at a roundabout just outside 'North Warnborough'

Maybe. Dunno. Anyways I've never been there but have heard it's on again.

I love those roads past Odiham RAF base. Very nice.

Yeah thats it the 'Lord Derby' (its a pub down a lane just off the roundabout).

I can do the "left foot down and spin the back wheel up to turn on the spot" thing that Arnie does to quickly turn the bike in T2. I've only done it on gravel and mud and it was learnt/is done for the purely practical purpose of 180ing the thing on my GF's drive without having to get off and push it around a 3 point turn.

I've done wheelies a few times, but only small ones and only a couple of times intentionally ( ). I also know that they really are small and are only a couple of inches off the floor. It can still make the bars wag when you drop the front a bit suddenly, mind

As to what would I like to do/learn? I was considering doing a wheelie school, but thought, "why 'get into' another facet of riding that can get you in trouble?" Same goes for stunting in general; I'd love to buy an old wrecked bike an rip the fairing off and do stunting in a car park, but I know it'd only be a matter of time before I started doing it on the road.

I'll probably learn to get my knee down once I get some leathers with knee sliders. I already toe-down occassionally so not too far to go.

I am sure your girlfriend will really appreciate the ‘darkie’ you will inevitably be leaving on her drive!!

Doing tricks is good fun, but you are right, most of them will get you in trouble with the law if you are caught.

The idea of getting a dedicated stunt bike and doing it in a controlled environment is a good one. I hear what you say about then taking that to the road, but perhaps if you/we all had a dedicated stunt bike then there will be less need/want to do such things on the queens highway!?!?
