I was actually taking the mick out of what you put and how you phrased it.

Humourous? No. Picking? Yes

If you take that to mean I remotely find anything amusing about 911 then you are really dumb. Get a grip.

Then don't tell me to get a feckin sense of humour!

May be now a good time to remind peeps that this bloke was not convicted of direct involvement in 9/11 - he was in jail when it happened. Rather, his lies facilitated the tragedy that unfolded, so in a sense he was a conspirator not a culprit. I dont recall reading that his lies and covering up for others was a direct cause, but someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

All this blood lust is, frankly, disgusting.

Late to jump on tha band wagon here. Not having one of those terror-vision boxes, combined with severely bad radio reception generally equates with being somewhat behind regarding world events...

However, a nice man on the crackly radio 4 news informs me his fate will be a solitary cell with concrete furniture and a a portable black and white TV..

Seems to me a life sentence in solitary confinement is just........

A life sentence of American television is just inhumane....... Do we feel a hunger stike coming on.....Watch this space!

I for one am glad he is not going to be killed by state sanctioned murder.

I'm not glad for him personally, or condoning his actions or those of whom he associated. What I am glad of however, is that the American people had the courage to rise above a need to salve a Nation's conciounce (sp?) by simply taking a life.

I believe that had they bowed to the rather considerable pressure upon them to do so, they would have set a potentially ugly and easily abused precedent of declaring a man's life forfiet by little more than inaction and association.
I personally have a little more respect in them now than previously.

Hopefully this trend of individually reasoned intelligence over vengence, bloodlust and mob-mentality will continue.

It tend to agree with you K. The fact that they didnt bow to massive pressure to execute this man, and instead saw sense and spared him his life albeit in return for a life in a small cell, shows that they are indeed capable of making intelligent decisions.

My estimation of the American system and beleifs has gone up somewhat following this.
