Thanks a lot folks! I think I'd have cried if I'd got a couple of "s'allrights" Though Cloggsy's made my list, and can expect repercussions...

Quick responses to questions...

Yarodia, it's not quite BRG, proper BRG is darker and a bit bluer. I like the idea of it, but not the actual colour, so I went for something similar but IMO a little nicer. It'lBrowsed the Halfords paint shelves then ordered proper paint off the internet

Jase22 and silent, might do some stickers... Big Al's going to put some 2-pack laquer on the tank and undertray for me, for better protection, so I've got some time to think about that. If I do, it'll be subtle, silver Suzuki S on teh tank maybe. Or the chinese Northwind character off a mah-jongg tile, a little cheesy but it'd look good (already got it on my plate) No fairign stickers, I think, I don't like them much.

mudge, I'm going to get my scabby Arai painted in black and white to match... Don't want a totally matched lid, but when I finally get that black and white stripy Furygan jacket it'll all work. What an absolute tart...

Godikus, the whole point of the silver stripes was to avoid coating the frame Ties it together nicely I think. It was going to be green and white- even got an SV Rider to photoshop me it, ages ago- but then I literally woke up in the middle of the night one night and wrote on my table (no paper) "Stripe colr frame" then fell asleep again. Version 3, if the bike lasts that long, will have a black frame but different paint.

No copying! It's a Renault colour called Brooklands Green Metallic in the UK, Renault call it Vert Anglais. It's their BRG knockoff, basically I'll see if I can get you the paint codes, remind me if I don't get back to you- should still have a tin. If not, it's still a current colour for Clios and Lagunas I think

The silver is Ford Moondust Silver as recommended by Barty Boy, it's not a perfect match for the frame but it's close. It's got the same look, I didn't want a super-shiny silver.

Lucky for me it's already insured as "multi coloured"

You could try the Japanese for Suzuki on your tank... You might want to research it a bit more this as this was just done quick by me.

It's tempting, that. I also wish I had some Yoshi bits, so I could use their logo But I reckon less is more sometimes.

Yup... Cut some chunks out of the surround to give it somethign to grip to (the first attempt looked great, but it cracked between filler and plastic) Isopon P38 (if that's the bridging compound) on the back for strength, and P40 (if that's the filler) on the front. Took a few tries to get the shape right! Likewise the indicator holes, though they were smaller and easier to shape...

I tried disconnecting the light to see if it made any difference as far as visibility... Not much. I never use the battery flatteners anyway, and the uprated headlights are still far more bright than the standard 3 lights. Might possibly be a legal implication, I'ev filed that under "deal with it if it happens"
