personally I'm not all that judgemental - mental maybe, but judgemental I dont think so. I understand why it isnt really the best thing to write like that all the time but I just dont think that dropping the odd shortened word should be too big a deal. I wouldnt write a whole message in txt talk, but personally I dont find the shortening of words occasionally a problem.
Fact - there is no psychological evidnce to support a link between murdering and text speak. |

the other thing to ask is how far would you be willing to take it, I mean are typo's to be banned, how about grammatical errors, which annoy me far more. Or what about those people who simply can't spell because they all give a bad impression of intelligence rate as well.
Yes language should be easy to understand and I think I put previously I'd never write a whole message in txt it would be a bit like this wot d'ya mean its stpd cos no1 undastanz wot am tlkin bout. I would never do that, n'or am I defending those who might but the odd word here and there or even using symbols when on a forum just doesnt bug me! |
