My first Car was a Van,1961 Ford Thames,I was too young to drive it legally, but I bought it to transport my Kart about. 3 'on the tree' speed manual, crash gears,it was great! I did drive it but,'Off-road'.

My actual First Car that I drove when I past my test was a '65 Ford Anglia 1200 Super! It was great, sideways fun,I put a cherry-bomb exhaust on it,RS Wheels, and lowered it eventually! Now it's totally restored and has been in magazines! How gutted am I?!

[quote="cuffy"]MkIV 2 litre Ford Cortina...was a bag of sh*te...but it was my bag of sh*te
Rear wheel drive...went everywhere sideways if possible.

My first car was a 1600cc cortina and as above went sideways a lot, so much so that after 3months i drove it through the front of a house and wrote it off

Trouble was it was on 3 yeras finance and only thrid party insurance

Learnt to drive in my Mum's Morris Minor Traveller - with the wooden back doors. Rear wheel drive on skinny tyres in the wet round corners were great. My first purchase was boring Golf Mk1, while forever lusting after a GTI but couldn't afford the insurance. - Always hate paying insurance that's why I love SV 650.
